Memorial Day Weekend with the Grandparents!

On Friday, Tripp and I traveled to Inman, South Carolina to visit with the Dameron Grandparents. We've had a blast so far. Dad is getting the pool ready for the summer, and mom is getting ready for the company coming in June. Tripp's reflux has been acting up a good bit during his visit. It seems to be the worst during the afternoon from about 3 until 7. He doesn't cry constantly but he is very uncomfortable and cannot sit still.

What's amazing is the amount if weight this little boy has gained! I promise you he must be a least 14 pounds. I can't wait until his 2 month check up to see how much he really weighs. He is already in size 2 diapers and has a big pot belly. I love the little fat on the top of his feet.. SO CUTE! I love it when strangers come up to us and ask me how old he is, and when I tell them 8 weeks they are completely amazed. They can't believe he's only a two month old baby. He is almost out of 3 month clothes. Some of them do not even fit him anymore. Right now he fits in 3-6 month's comfortably.

Day 4 of the Flux!

Pouty Lip
Day four of the flux! Tripp slept pretty well last night. He went to sleep around 9pm and woke up at 2 to eat. He then went back to sleep until 5am. I can tell his reflux is getting on his nerves. He gurgles and spits up a lot. He loves his mobile in his crib. I needed to run downstairs and grab something and he was fussy in his crib so I turned on the mobile and he just stared at it in amazement. He did great this morning when I brought him downstairs. He was just a smileing baby! I loved catching these moments on the camera! I just can't believe how big he is in just such a short amount of time.

Let's talk about the chair... So, we bought a chair that you can use from Newborn to Toddler age, is a little rocker chair that turns into a toddler chair. Let's just say, at first, he DID NOT like the chair. The first time we put him in the chair he was scared and cried. Now, since his reflux he loves being in his chair! He loves sitting up right and it makes him feel better. So now, he naps not in his crib, not in the pac n play but his chair. It's amazing!

In the late afternoon yesterday, Tripp did not have a good time. He was
very fussy and upset. You could tell it was his reflux that was bothering him. Poor fellow, he got the hiccups about 5 times did not want to sit in a chair, screamed during his feeding and had a very hard time taking his medicine. Once his meds kicked in, got a good feeding, he was out by 9pm. He's such a sweet little man!

Here is a video of Tripp enjoying his swing. Very cute! Happy Memorial Day weekend everybody!

Tripp Skitt the Beginning

On April 5th 2010 Phillip and I had a beautiful baby boy named Tripp. He has changed my life
forever. Who would've known this 8 pound 8 ounce baby would come on his due date! He was by far the largest and longest baby

in the bunch. He was a towering 23 inches with big hands and big feet! The nurses said they never seen such large feet.

He continues to grow every single day and I want to post new things about him as he grows. This experience has not been easy so far, but most definately worth the trials, sleepless nights, spitups, poop ups, and peed ons... :)

Today, my little man is 7 weeks and 3 days old. We had to go to the doctor this week because Tripp was not sleeping. Come to find out Tripp is suffering from acid reflux. So now, we are sitting him up for 30 minutes after every feeding, his crib mattress is proped up and so is his pac n play. He's been sleeping a lot in his chair.
We have been using his high chair as well. He has a hard time eating and spits up a lot. Hopefully this will get better soon and little one can rest at ease. Let's just say this week has been a restless one. This picture to the right was taken by Phil, I have not had a shower in two days and was going on a total of 3-5 hours of sleep for the passed two days... lets just say a big mess!

In the morning Tripp loves to sit in his swing for about 10 minutes and stare at his lambs.
It's like he's never seen them before and he's in such awe and amazement by them. Then he usually gets bored, starts to hiccup and wants out!
